Casa da Lavandeira, a house with over three hundred years of history, was acquired by Celestino Augusto Portela on 28 May 1921. A family legacy that lives on, with the founder's grandson as the current owner, who acquired the entire property on 28 May 2021.<\/p>

It has been transformed into a haven of luxury and art, with two Japanese-inspired rooms, a blue room and a cabana room, which reflect the personal taste and aesthetic vision of the current owner.<\/p>

In honour of Celestino Martins Portela, father and mentor, who throughout his 87 years of life cultivated a deep passion for gastronomy, wine, writing, painting and sculpture, Casa da Lavandeira, now a Zen & Art space, offers rooms designed by renowned personalities in their fields. These include chef Arnaldo Azevedo, who was awarded a <\/i> Michelin; the sculptor Paulo Neves, a personal friend of Celestino Portela; the painter Ant\u00f3nio Pedro Macedo, with roots in Santa Maria da Feira and admired by Celestino Portela; and the prestigious oenologist Lu\u00eds Sottomayor.<\/p>

Each of these designer rooms has been designed to convey the intimacy, personal taste and privacy of each creator, providing a unique and sophisticated experience for our guests.<\/p>
